I am so frustrated. We have been holding our breath for 4 weeks now for our TA. Now the rumor has it that either 1) the director of the CCAA which issues the TAs is out for another week and nothing will get done (that is the "good" rumor). or 2) CCAA has completely stopped issuing TAs for a period of 30 days, and will consider restarting at that point depending on the Swine Flu epidemic.
AARGH
I just want our kids.

ok, now i am sick. seriously. i read this and completely lost it emotionally. we're in the same boat. waiting each day for THE call. somehow i knew this flu would affect our travel, but not for a month or longer. let's both pray it's just a rumor. i'm emailing my agency right now to see if they know anything. i'll let you know if they have any info. julia.
ReplyDeletemy agency said that just yesterday the ccaa was in the process of sending out ta's and referrals. that was from a direct phone call from their beijing contact to the ccaa. so, maybe it's not as bad as we think. we'll find out next week if people get ta's and referrals. my agency is hopeful and based on the phone call from their contact, they have told us that things are going along as normal and nothing will be halted. it's made my day today much better hearing that. hopefully, it will make your day better too. can't get any worse, huh? julia.
